YaSabe, the leading local search destination catering to U.S. Hispanics, revealed that it was selected by Viva Móvil by Jennifer Lopez, a new wireless retailer co-founded by Jennifer Lopez, which launched at the CTIA 2013 Wireless Conference in Las Vegas. Viva Móvil aims to revolutionize wireless services through premium retail stores, online and social channels. Viva Móvil will help to promote and distribute YaSabe local search applications to its subscribers. Under the agreement, YaSabe will also help to promote Viva Móvil’s new retail locations and wireless services to Hispanic consumers searching online.

YaSabe, which means ‘now you know’ in Spanish, provides location-aware mobile applications, including bilingual information about local merchants and service providers, special offers and coupons, all with a focus on Latin culture and community. For example, YaSabe’s restaurant guide includes 16 types of Latin cuisine with in-depth content and menu information for 40,000 restaurants. YaSabe also helps to capture word-of-mouth, allowing users to leave comments and share information. A human-powered social concierge service called Ayudame (‘help me’) allows consumers to ask questions and get recommendations from others in the community.
